Continuing Education

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will be expected to keep up with professional developments through continuing education, or CE, programs. The following are sites where you can obtain CE either for professional advancement, recertification, or both.

Power-Pak CE

Power-Pak offers a variety of written CE programs for pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and other health professionals. These are written programs which you can access online or print out. After you complete the program, you take an exam and receive credit if you get 70% or more correct. The nice thing about Power-Pak (in addition to being free) is that you can immediately score your exam and print out a CE certificate over the internet.



ETSU Pharmacy CE Programs

If you long to hear Dr. Rice lecture again, the ETSU Pharmacy CE site has a program on Photoprotection (for example, sunscreens) that uses a slide and audio format similar to this course.

Ethex

Ethex offers some free CE courses for pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.

American Pharmacists Association

The APhA, through pharmacist.com, offers over 100 CE programs. There may be a fee to nonmembers.
